IndiaDaily - Infosys net profit jumped 30.2 pct., revenue exceeded US$2 billion: "India's software giant Infosys said Friday its revenue for the fiscal year that ended in March exceeded US$2 billion for the first time in the company's 25-year history amid strong growth in the information technology industry.
'It took us 23 years to reach the first billion dollars in revenues while we reached the next billion dollars in 23 months,' Nandan Nilekani, the company's chief executive officer and managing director, said in a statement.
The Nasdaq-listed company said it earned US$2.15 billion (A1.77 billion) in revenue during the year and expected that figure to grow by 28 percent to 30 percent in the fiscal year through March 2007, to between US$2.76 billion and US$2.8 billion."
